WWW Wednesday

Today is the WWW Wednesday meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words! This will be my final week doing this meme until December, as today starts NaNoWriMo. You can follow my journey here. See you all in December!

To join me in this meme, just answer these three questions and post the link to your responses on Sam’s blog and below in the comments:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Current Read:

The Sun and Her Flowers - Rupi KaurThe Sun and Her Flowers – Rupi Kaur

Being that NaNo starts today I know that I’m not going to have much time to read. Therefore, I’m starting this poetry collection. I’ve read Rupi’s collection Milk and Honey and reviewed it here (give it a click if you want to know my thoughts.) I enjoy the messages that she writes about and they are very relatable to me. I’m expecting to enjoy this collection just as much, if not more, than Milk and Honey.

Recently Finished:

Illuminae - The Illuminae Files Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Illuminae – Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

On the drive to my vacation destination last week, my fiance and I listened to our first audiobook. It was AMAZING! I couldn’t imagine a better way to listen to this book. Being that we listened to this one together, I’ve decided that we will be co-writing the review. So stay tuned for our review of Illuminae!

Undeniable - Liz Iavorschi-BraunUndeniable – Liz Iavorschi-Braun

I also am lucky enough to have an ARC of Undeniable, the third book in the Seven Years Gone series. This is such a great continuation of Ginger’s story as she fights to keep her freedom from The Society. Now I’m stuck waiting until book 4 comes out next year. Definitely a book I would recommend reading when it comes out in December!

Up Next:

As I’ve said earlier in the post, I have no clue what I’ll be reading or if I will be reading at all this month. Unfortunately, I don’t have any upcoming reads to talk about.

What are have you read this week? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I’m so intrigued about how Illuminae would work as an audio book! Were there lots of sound effects? Multiple narrators? It’s such a visual book. (But then my first few audio books were all Patrick Ness books with either illustrations or interesting typography, so I guess it would be a smiliar experience).

    1. Yes there are sound effects and multiple narrators! It made it feel like a movie without the picture. I’m so excited to write my thoughts in a post that will go up next week! 😁

  2. I’ve heard great things about the audiobook for Illuminae! I’ve already read it so I won’t be listening as there are far too many I need to read/listen too aha

    1. Completely understandable! There is never enough time to read and listen to all the many books on our TBR lists!
