The NaNoWriMo Months
During the NaNo months, I will be posting updates on how everything is going. Whether it is on completing my writing goal, or an editing goal, all of those updates will go here. Sometimes I will even throw in an extra special SURPRISE (but you have to stay tuned to find out!)
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) What Is It?
Every November National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) takes place. This non-profit organization provides a platform for aspiring writers to write towards a 50,000-word goal in only 30 days. The organization also has a young writer’s program for those writers that are in grades K-12 to write. For the purpose of keeping that magic going, NaNoWriMo provides “camp” twice a year in the months of April and July. Camp NaNoWriMo is a less drastic NaNoWriMo, where everyone is able to set their own goals.
This organization helped me to release my inner creativity through my writing. I am forever grateful for the opportunities that this organization has given me. And I can’t wait to share the journey I have with you. For me, NaNoWriMo has changed my life and the way I think about things. Writing is the farthest thing from easy, but writing for others to enjoy makes it all worthwhile.
As I take on this journey to write at a ridiculously fast speed, my hope is to bring everyone stories that will last a lifetime. So follow me on my journey through the creative lands of writing as I take on Camp NaNoWriMo and NaNoWriMo!
