It’s A Wrap – October 2017

15 Comments on It’s A Wrap – October 2017

I feel like I was able to accomplish so much this month. Yay me! I had a lot more free time and I was devouring books left and right. I read so many wonderful books this month and have written so many posts that I am happy with. All in all, this was a good month. I finished my TBR list!

Now next month will not be as interesting. If you have followed any of my posts then you know that I will be participating in NaNoWriMo (you can view everything about NaNo here). This month-long writing contest is going to take a lot of time, so that means I don’t know whether or not I will be able to read. I can always hope to get through a book or two, but nothing to the extent that I do in a normal month.

Before getting bogged down by the sad news that I just delivered, let’s get to what I have read in October!

First, to see my October TBR list

To catch-up on my reviews from September

(All books are linked to my reviews. Some reviews have not been posted, but will be soon!)

I Finished:

I Am More Than A Daydream – Jennae Cecelia

Quiet Refuge – Linda Tincu Peno

First Came Forever – Annie Woods

Live Fast, Die Young – Vanessa Barneveld

Through the Woods – Emily Carroll

Resist the Machine – C.D. Verhoff (Boho Book Club posts)

Project Pandora – Aden Polydoros

Illuminae – Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff – review coming soon!

Reviews Published From Previously Read Books:

The Last Man Trilogy – Tobias Wade

Current Read:

Undeniable – Liz Iavorschi-Braun

Rolling TBR:

I don’t want to forget about the great books that I put on my list. I put them on my list, but either didn’t get to them or they have yet to be published and that means I can’t wait to get them when they’re released. These books include:

Project Pandora – Aden Polydoros

Girl in the Snow – Danya Kukafka

Salt to the Sea – Ruta Sepetys

The Scent of Salt and Sand – Kristin Cast & P.C. Cast

Plank’s Law – Lesley Choyce

The Loneliest Girl in the Universe – Lauren James

Although I have no idea what is in store for me next month, I can always hope that I read one or two books off of my TBR list!

What books are you excited to read? Are there any books on my list that you have on yours? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I am so glad you read Illuminae – I’ll definitely have to be on the lookout for your review. xD And Salt to the Sea is so emotional and well-researched, so I hope you enjoy it too. Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous recap! <3

    1. Thank you! Illuminae was AMAZING! And Salt to the Sea is definitely going to be read very soon! I can’t wait! 😄

  2. Oh my gosh you must read The Loneliest Girl in the Universe! I read it in one day, so if you get a chance to read this month I recommend picking that one up.
Good luck with NaNo! I’ll be slagging along with it too!

    1. I really hope to get to it soon! I wish you luck too! Its great having all of this NaNo support this year! ❤

  3. HEYYY!! I AM PARTICIPATING IN NANoWriMo TOO!! It is going to be sooo much FUN. 😁😁 I AM SOO HYOED ABOUT IT. What is the genre of your work? I’ll be working on a Fantasy story I started last year but had to abandon it. I wrote a few….uhhh….thoughts today. I aim to finish the first draft at least. That’ll give me something to work on, you know. 😅 BUT TELL ME ABOUT YOUR WIP?!?! 😁😁

I have heard about First Came Forver. Supposed to be a good one? But…..I don’t know…I don’t really fancy Romance that much. 😅 By the way, is it Romance??! 😅😂

    1. Good luck with your project!! 😄 Im writing a young adult book but not 100% sure which specific genre it is yet. If you check out my NaNo Prep post (www.boundtowriting.com/prepping-nano-2017-write/) I’m writing based on option 2! 😄
First Came Forever is a Romance book but it’s really great! I’m not usually a Romance reader and this one really changed my opinion!

What do you think?
