My Rating: 4 pens!

Goodreads Synopsis: Words tumble out, with no pause;
From the pen, my anelace,
That I hold so graciously,
(In awe of its majesty, its power)
In my hand.
They form thoughts, hopes and musings;
Reflect my soul, my entire being,
And spread across the page,
Like scattered constellations
Across the sky.

I received a copy of Scattered Constellations from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

indie published

This is a free verse poetry collection. It has a variation in poetic styles with some poems rhyming. The length of the poems also varies from long to short. I read the uncorrected proof which did have a few spelling errors.

I found this collection to be very relatable. The topics covered include: love, heartbreak, racism, and family. I felt as if the poems were speaking to me. They are well written and cover topics that can be relatable to many people.

So, this is the only problem I had with the collection. The beginning poems didn’t hit me with the emotions, but the middle on did. I’m glad that the poems hit the emotional level to make me resonate with the poems.

The Cover

The cover for this collection is absolutely beautiful. I love the colors and it’s just so beautiful!

Overall

Scattered Constellations is a beautiful poetry collection by my fellow book blogger, Ankita. It is very relatable. Although I did have some trouble with feeling the emotions in the beginning, that feeling was completely flipped by the end. I’m excited to see what else Ankita has in store!
