November is almost over which means that NaNo is coming to a close. After this Thursday, I should have 50k words completed for my newest WIP. I’m excited but losing motivation fast.
NaNo pushes me to my limits. Gets me to write when I have no desire to. But the problem is that NaNo is only three times a year and I usually only participate in writing a novel in November.
Now, I’m not really sure what else to talk about. I’ll just get right onto the update from this past week in NaNo.
Writing – Project: Split Views (?)
Here is the vague description that I have of this project.
Option #2: A guy wakes up and has no clue what has happened. He is where he fell, but things look different and yet still the same. It’s when he is driving down the road that he realizes the past is all around him, acting as if nothing has changed. He knows better though because it’s 2017 and that building he just drove by was demolished years ago.
I had a burst of motivation at the beginning of this week. It is great being able to knock out over 2,000 words multiple days in a row. Then Thanksgiving hit, and the rounding out of November, and now I’m slowly drifting backward.
With only 4 days left, I’m confident that I’ll be able to write 50k words. I’m staying on track, and still writing at least 1700 words every day. However, I’m getting really drained and wish that I could have a break to relax my brain for a single day. That’s what after November is for though!
Now I should be getting back to my word count right now. So come back Friday to read my final NaNo update for this NaNo season!
Total Words Written With Sprints: 8272 words
Total Words Written Without Sprints: 3358 words
Total Words Written This Week: 11630 words

Editing – Project: Not Like Everyone Else
This week has been a busy week with Thanksgiving and all. Editing has been tough to do, as there hasn’t been too much free time on my plate. Being that completing 50k words has been a priority, I forgo any editing.
So there really isn’t much to update on in this category, except for the few pages I did edit. Those are really marked up which took a lot of time getting done. This edit is really about adding things to the book that were missing before, hence all the red. In the end, I am trying to provide a great story for everyone to read.
Total Pages Edited This Week: 6 pages
That is all I have for today! A small little update, as my brain can’t handle anymore thinking. Until Friday!
