About Me - Jennifer Leigh

Welcome!

My name is Jenn and I am the owner and writer for Bound to Writing and I’m also a self-published young adult author (under the pen name Jennifer Leigh).

I started Bound to Writing in July 2017 in an effort to bring my writing to the world. You see, from a very young age, I loved to write. I mean, I wrote my first “book” in the second grade on Notepad. It was called “The Boy and the Girl.” It had hand-drawn illustrations (I’m not a drawer, believe me) and the cover had taped on magazine cut-outs of a boy and a girl. That means that I was serious!

However, I was always told that it wasn’t something worth pursuing, so I left it on the back-burner.

After I graduated from college with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, I knew that it wasn’t right for me. Actually, I knew before graduating but I only had one class left. So I started this blog with only slight information that I had from a social media marketing class I had taken in my last semester.

I wanted an outlet for everyone to read my writing. It was the scariest and most nerve-wracking thing I’ve ever done to put my work out there. But in the end, I knew I wanted to help writers find the information that is useful to them without scouring the internet.

I am supported by my wonderful husband, our children, our cats (Apollo and Oreo), and our senior guinea pig (Pascal).

I’m also a huge Disney fan! My top 4 favorite Disney movies are Encanto, Moana, Tangled, and Coco. I love going to Disney World and would love to visit Disneyland one day. Another hobby of mine is gardening. I’m still new, but have successfully grown lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I look forward to the next growing season.

Since starting Bound to Writing, I have learned a lot about myself and what I want from life. I am happy with my decision to start this blog and become the indie author that I am today. I hope you will join me on this journey.
